Peter & Palna’s Festivals of the World Mehndi, Park Hyatt

First destination wedding at Park Hyatt Dubai by BAQAA in 2015 for the Patel family from Antwerp. Palna and Peter top bankers from London tied the knot with all traditional customs and crazy fun of Indian weddings. A new original concept by BAQAA for Mehndi was Festivals of the World. A kaleidoscope of three concepts – Indian Haven with fresh marigold chandelier, fresh flower rangoli, low takhat seating, floor cushions, small carts with gifts, Middle Eastern magic with mashrabiya panels, Moroccan sofas, sheesha and Caribbean Fun with ribbons, chandeliers made of cocktail paper flowers, a fun active bar with a mixologist and the feet taping music by the DJ. The Mehndi was enjoyed by all the international guests from lunch time to sundowner. The guests moved to the different spaces enjoying different experiences. It was a progressive free flowing celebration as the first event.
